Bladen County Hospital has won many national awards
over the past few years. In 1992 the hospital won the
GREAT COMEBACK AWARD for Management Excellence. In 1995 the NOVA AWARD was won for Collaboration. In 1997 the prestigious FOSTER G. MCGAW AWARD for Community Service was presented to the hospital and in 1999 the Bladen County Hospital Rural Health Network won the NATIONAL RURAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION'S OUTSTANDING RURAL HEALTH PROGRAM AWARD. Bladen County Hospital is the only entity to ever win all four national awards.
Bladen HealthWatch, a community partnership originally sponsored by Bladen County Hospital, was presented the statewide THAD B.WESTER AWARD for Community Excellence in 1997 and in 1999 won the GOVERNOR'S AWARD FOR WORKSITE HEALTH AND FITNESS.
